Honest answer: no tool can promise zero risk. What we can promise is that our architecture is meaningfully less risky than cloud-based competitors.

LinkedIn's anti-bot system flags two things hardest: (1) requests coming from datacenter IPs while your "session" claims to be in Bengaluru, and (2) inhuman velocity. job-pilot runs on your machine using your home/office IP, applies through your real Chrome fingerprint, and throttles to a human-ish pace with daily caps.

The bigger ban risk in this category is using cloud services (LazyApply, JobCopilot, Sonara) that paste your cookie into a datacenter session — LinkedIn fingerprints that aggressively.

Two reasons. One is account safety (see above). The other is you: if we held your LinkedIn session token, a single breach on our side would compromise every customer at once. We didn't want to build that target.

PostgreSQL on a single VPS in ap-south-1 (Mumbai). The columns that matter (email, resume blob references, AI prompts) are envelope-encrypted with per-customer keys, so a database dump alone won't read.

Your LinkedIn session — the actual cookie that authenticates you — lives only on your disk, in your Chrome user profile. We don't have a column for it because we don't accept one.

LinkedIn's ToS prohibits "automated means" of accessing the site. That's a real clause. We won't pretend automation is officially welcome — it isn't.

What we believe (and stake the product on): the gap between "policy letter" and "enforcement reality" is wide. LinkedIn's enforcement targets scrapers, bulk message spammers, and accounts that bypass rate-limits by orders of magnitude. A user applying to ~40 jobs/day on their own session, from their own IP, looks like a motivated job seeker — not a scraper.
